Time to relax with tea and cake

It has been a rather warm couple of days here and the fairies have been feeling like relaxing. They threw there favourite picnic blanket onto the grass and set themselves up a rather sophisticated little tea party.

They were having so much fun that their friends Hodge the hedgehog and Alby the rabbit came to join them.

Once the fairies had drunk the tea and finished off the last crumbs of cake they decided to make some daisy chains. Tilly had never made daisy chains before so Tootles sat helping her.

When I was a little girl I loved it when I found daisies whose petals were tipped with pink, as this meant they had been kissed by the fairies.

There weren't as many daisies in the garden today as there was when these pictures were taken so the fairies didn't get to make there daisy chains very long.

What better way could there be to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Whose afraid of a Dalek?

The fairies are quite a fearless bunch, nothing is going to send them running to hide behind the sofa .
So when we came across some Daleks while on our wanderings, Topsy thought she would have a bit of fun.

I have a feeling that she was secretly hoping that the door of the Tardis would be flung open and
The Dr would appear and whisk here away to wander the galaxy for awhile!

Bake a cake x

We have had a birthday in the house this week, and we all know that fairies love cake so the girls decided that they were going to get busy.
They hunted for a suitable recipe - the more sugar and syrup in a cake and the happier the fairies are.

They decided that Golden Syrup cake had just enough sweetness for them.

Tootles and Tallulah began to weigh out the ingredients.

Tabitha was very careful melting the ingredients.

I will be very kind to Tilly and Bramble and not tell you just how many eggs that got smashed in their little games.

Now we all know that one of the best parts of baking a cake is getting to lick the batter that is left off the spoon.

Rainbow got his nose a little to close to the mixture.

Once the cake was out of the oven, Topsy drizzles even more syrup over the top! (I can just see our dentist shaking her head at us)

The fairies then decided they needed to make even more cakes!
And that cakes filled with Daim bars were what they wanted - and who am I to say no to the fairies.

Tallulah couldn't resit sneaking a piece of chocolate, Rainbow was desperate to get a taste too.

Tootles was happy to add chocolate powder to the cake batter.

Set the timer and wait patiently, not a skill fairies are good at.

Tah dah
A cake can never be covered in too much edible glitter!
The fairies were very happy with the finished products x
