On Safari

The fairies have been looking for some of the more unusual wildlife that wanders among the flowers (and weeds) of their garden.
The problem is, this wildlife is rather shy and very good at hiding. Fairies on the other hand can be a bit noisy and impatient. They are not fans of sitting quietly and waiting for the animals to appear.

They each chose where they were going to wait and got comfy.
Luckily the girls didn't have to wait too long for something to arrive.

Seeing a zebra in the north east of England is not something you expect but here he is.

Next to arrive was a friendly giraffe, who was enjoying the leaves.
Buttercup thought he looked a little short for a giraffe, but didn't say anything as she didn't want to cause any offence.

I wonder what other wildlife will be visiting the fairies?

Join the fun

This weekend two new fairies came to join the other fairies who live at the bottom of my garden. It seems that word has got around about how much fun goes on here.

Luckily the girls are a very friendly group and love welcoming new friends. Personally, I think it is because it means there are more of them to cause mischief!

Floribunda has informed us that she loves to dance in the moonlight, paddle in streams, and chase butterflies.

She has promised that she doesn't play tricks on humans, but due to the amount of giggling that came with that promise, I'm not sure that I can believe her.

Betsy loves music, she has hardly stopped singing since she arrived.
Her main job is to help with all the baby birds (she will be very busy in my garden soon).
When she arrived the first thing she did was look for pretty things to decorate her clothes and hair. I've got a feeling that if anything sparkly goes missing, I know who I need to go see.

I must admit I am quite jealous of her beautiful hair.

I'm sure that both girls are going to settle into our fairy family, and you will be able to see all their adventures.

Would you like to go on an Easter Egg Hunt?

Easter Sunday and what a beautiful day. The Easter bunny popped into the garden this morning and hid some eggs for the fairies to hunt for. The fairies love to play and they love anything that sparkles and glitters.

He hunted high and low for all the best places to hide the eggs.

He got a bit of help from Buttercup, she is very good in games of hide and seek, so knows all the best hiding places in the garden.
They also needed to make sure that the chocolate eggs weren't out in the sun where they would end up melting!!

The Fairies were very excited when they woke up and found out what had been going on in the garden. They immediately began the search.

Brambles was the first to find an egg, snuggled among the daisies.

Beatrice was climbing high when she found this egg.

Another pink sparkler was hidden amongst the ivy.

Buttercup had hidden this egg to well, none of the other fairies were able to find it!

The last egg was found among the daffodils.
The fairies had so much fun.

I left the fairies as they were about to dig into the chocolate eggs, I did manage to sneak one away without then noticing.

Have a lovely Easter
